Home Infusion Clinical Pharmacist | Anderson, Texas

A home infusion pharmacy in College Station, TX, is seeking two pharmacists to support their infusion services that cater to patients with acute and chronic medical needs. The roles include one full-time Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) and one temporary staff pharmacist to provide coverage mid-November.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, process, and verify physician medication orders for infusion therapy
• Perform and oversee sterile compounding and cleanroom operations in compliance with USP standards
• Ensure safe dispensing of infusion medications and related supplies
• Maintain accurate patient and pharmacy records in accordance with federal and Texas regulations
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, and healthcare team members
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
• Manage assigned patient caseloads and pharmacist workflow
• Oversee day-to-day home infusion pharmacy operations

Additional PIC Duties:

• Provide regulatory oversight ensuring compliance with Texas State Board of Pharmacy requirements
• Supervise pharmacy operations, policies, and personnel
• Maintain medication storage, preparation, dispensing, and quality control standards
• Support inspections, audits, and maintain pharmacy documentation
• Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to pharmacy staff

Qualifications:

• Active Texas Pharmacist License in good standing
• Minimum of 1+ year pharmacist experience; home infusion and sterile compounding experience preferred
• Knowledge of USP sterile compounding standards
• Strong communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
• For PIC candidates: Must fulfill Texas State Board of Pharmacy PIC requirements; leadership or supervisory experience preferred

Schedule and Location:

• November 1627, 2026 coverage needed (pharmacy closed November 26 for Thanksgiving)
• Onsite in College Station, TX
• Full-time PIC position available with potential to transition from November coverage
