Home Infusion Clinical Pharmacist - Brockton, Massachusetts

A healthcare facility specializing in home infusion services seeks a PRN Staff Pharmacist to deliver clinical pharmacy expertise supporting patients with acute and chronic needs. This role is ideal for a licensed pharmacist experienced in sterile compounding and infusion therapy who values collaborative patient care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and process physician orders while verifying insurance benefits
• Perform sterile compounding and support cleanroom operations in compliance with USP 797 standards
• Ensure safe dispensing of medications and infusion supplies
• Maintain accurate patient and pharmacy records in line with federal and state regulations
• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and patients to optimize treatment outcomes
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff to uphold operational excellence
• Manage patient caseloads and provide pharmacist coverage as needed

Schedule/Shift

• Initial training: 4-8 days on EMR system
• Regular shifts: 2 days per month with flexible scheduling
• Additional PRN coverage required on July 6-10 and July 13-17
• Shift hours: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, onsite

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts Pharmacist License in good standing
• Minimum 1 year pharmacy experience; 2+ years clinical pharmacy preferred
• Experience in infusion therapy and sterile compounding highly desirable
• In-depth knowledge of USP 797 sterile compounding standards required
• Strong multitasking, communication, time management, and critical-thinking skills
