Home Infusion Clinical Pharmacist in College Station, TX

A home infusion pharmacy in College Station, TX is seeking two pharmacists to join their team in contract roles. These positions focus on delivering specialized IV and infusion therapies to patients with acute and chronic conditions while ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Positions available include a Staff Pharmacist for temporary coverage from November 1627, 2026 (with the pharmacy closed on November 26 for Thanksgiving), and a full-time Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) role. Qualified candidates who can cover the November dates and are eligible to serve as PIC may have the opportunity to start with the temporary assignment and transition into the permanent leadership position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, process, and verify physician medication orders for infusion therapies
• Perform and oversee sterile compounding and adhere to USP standards
• Manage safe dispensing of medications and infusion-related supplies
• Maintain accurate pharmacy and patient records ensuring compliance with federal and Texas pharmacy regulations
• Collaborate effectively with pharmacy technicians, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
• Supervise pharmacy staff and manage pharmacist workflow and patient caseloads
• For PIC: Provide regulatory oversight, maintain compliance with Texas State Board of Pharmacy requirements, support inspections/audits, and lead the clinical pharmacy team

Qualifications:

• Active Texas Pharmacist License in good standing
• Minimum one year of pharmacist experience; home infusion or sterile compounding experience strongly preferred
• Thorough knowledge of USP sterile compounding standards
• Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
• For PIC candidates: Eligibility per Texas State Board of Pharmacy to serve as PIC, previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred, and strong regulatory compliance knowledge
