IV Sterile Compounding Clinical Pharmacist in Downingtown, PA

A Specialty Compounding Pharmacy is seeking a skilled Sterile Compounding Pharmacist for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Kennett Square, PA. This role requires precise and compliant preparation of sterile and non-sterile compounded medications, ensuring patient safety and regulatory adherence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately compound sterile and non-sterile preparations following master formula worksheets
• Implement and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies for compounding
• Maintain compliance with USP guidelines and applicable state and federal regulations
• Perform cleaning and garbing procedures according to company policies
• Conduct calculations and thorough documentation of compounding activities
• Operate production and computerized equipment accurately to uphold quality standards
• Utilize proper aseptic techniques and prepare work areas before production
• Verify quality, purity, and potency through quality control tests and inspections
• Stay current with advancements in compounding techniques, formulations, and technologies
• Engage in continuous professional development related to compounding pharmacy practices

Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license required
• Recent pharmacy experience with emphasis on sterile compounding
• Sterile compounding experience is essential
• Open to new graduates interested in a compounding specialty

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, with shifts available from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., or 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
