Exciting opportunity for a skilled Sterile Compounding Pharmacist to join a specialty compounding pharmacy in Kennett Square, PA. This contract-to-hire position offers a dynamic environment where precision, patient safety, and compliance are priorities. Ideal candidates will have experience in sterile compounding and pharmacy operations, with a focus on delivering high-quality compounded medications.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring accurate preparation of sterile and non-sterile compounded medications in line with master formula worksheets.
- Implementing and adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Complying with USP and related compounding guidelines to guarantee medication safety and efficacy.
- Performing thorough cleaning and garbing protocols according to company standards.
- Conducting precise calculations and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Operating production and computerized equipment to support quality assurance.
- Utilizing correct aseptic techniques in all compounding activities.
- Preparing work areas before production to maintain sterile conditions.
- Conducting quality control tests and inspections to verify compounded medication accuracy.
- Staying current with emerging compounding methods, formulations, and technologies.
- Engaging in ongoing professional development within compounding pharmacy practices.
Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist license.
- Recent pharmacy experience with a strong background in sterile compounding.
- Open to new graduates with relevant training and enthusiasm for compounding pharmacy.
Schedule Options:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM 5:30 PM
- Monday to Friday, 10:30 AM 7:00 PM (may be assigned)
