Home Infusion Clinical Pharmacist in Garland, TX
A home infusion pharmacy team in North Dallas, TX is seeking a dedicated, full-time clinical pharmacist with specialized expertise in sterile compounding for a direct hire opportunity. Schedule: Full Time, 40 hours per week, Day Shift
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and verify prescriptions from authorized prescribers, ensuring accuracy and determining necessary formulas and ingredients.
- Prepare, fill, and compound sterile medications according to standardized procedures including weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients.
- Maintain accurate pharmacy documentation and inventory records by entering patient and medication data.
- Generate and provide drug usage reports to pharmaceutical partners as needed.
- Perform Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) reporting in compliance with state regulations.
- Organize and manage pharmacy service operations to meet patient needs and adhere to physician directives and best practices.
- Engage in ongoing continuing education to enhance pharmacy service quality.
- Assist leadership in policy development, enforcement, and compliance with all relevant regulations and laws.
- Participate actively in quality assurance programs focused on patient care and medication safety.
Desired Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited school of pharmacy.
- Valid Texas pharmacist license in good standing; additional state licenses are a plus.
- Demonstrated USP 797 sterile compounding experience is required.
- Proven infusion/IV experience is mandatory.
- Intrathecal compounding experience is advantageous.
