Travel IV Sterile Compounding Clinical Pharmacist - High Springs, FL
This role integrates sterile compounding expertise with clinical pharmacy responsibilities in a dynamic infusion pharmacy setting. Candidates will play a key role in ensuring safe medication use, regulatory compliance, and staff development.
Location: High Springs, FL
Job Type: Travel (13+ week contract to hire)
Schedule:
- Monday through Thursday
- 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret, verify, and process physician medication orders accurately.
- Perform and oversee sterile compounding per USP <797> and USP <800> standards.
- Conduct final verification of compounded sterile preparations ensuring safety and quality.
- Review medication profiles for allergies, interactions, dosing, and compatibility.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and support staff.
- Maintain cleanroom practices, aseptic technique, and environmental monitoring protocols.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives, medication safety programs, and regulatory audits.
- Maintain detailed compounding, batch, quality, and regulatory documentation.
- Assist in pharmacy operations including inventory management and controlled substances compliance.
- Support pharmacy policy development, procedure updates, and staff training efforts.
- Engage in staff meetings and professional development conferences.
Qualifications:
- Active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing.
- Minimum 1 year of experience with hazardous and non-hazardous sterile compounding compliant with USP <797>, USP <800>, DEA, OSHA, and Board of Pharmacy regulations.
- At least 1 year of recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
