This role integrates sterile compounding expertise with clinical pharmacy responsibilities in a dynamic infusion pharmacy setting. Candidates will play a key role in ensuring safe medication use, regulatory compliance, and staff development.

Location: High Springs, FL
Job Type: Travel (13+ week contract to hire)
Schedule:

  • Monday through Thursday
  • 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret, verify, and process physician medication orders accurately.
  • Perform and oversee sterile compounding per USP <797> and USP <800> standards.
  • Conduct final verification of compounded sterile preparations ensuring safety and quality.
  • Review medication profiles for allergies, interactions, dosing, and compatibility.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and support staff.
  • Maintain cleanroom practices, aseptic technique, and environmental monitoring protocols.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives, medication safety programs, and regulatory audits.
  • Maintain detailed compounding, batch, quality, and regulatory documentation.
  • Assist in pharmacy operations including inventory management and controlled substances compliance.
  • Support pharmacy policy development, procedure updates, and staff training efforts.
  • Engage in staff meetings and professional development conferences.

Qualifications:

  • Active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with hazardous and non-hazardous sterile compounding compliant with USP <797>, USP <800>, DEA, OSHA, and Board of Pharmacy regulations.
  • At least 1 year of recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
