This travel opportunity in Lake Butler, FL, offers a dynamic role combining sterile compounding skills with clinical pharmacy expertise in an infusion pharmacy setting. The position requires leadership in a fast-paced environment, ensuring regulatory compliance and delivering patient-centered care.
Schedule:
- Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM 4:30 PM
Responsibilities:
- Interpret, verify, and process physician medication orders accurately.
- Perform and oversee sterile compounding following USP <797> and USP <800> standards.
- Conduct final verification of compounded sterile preparations.
- Review medication profiles for safety concerns including allergies, interactions, dosing, and compatibility.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Supervise, mentor, and support pharmacy technicians and support staff.
- Maintain strict cleanroom, aseptic technique, and environmental monitoring standards.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives, medication safety audits, and continuous improvement projects.
- Maintain comprehensive compounding, batch, quality, and regulatory documentation.
- Assist with inventory management, controlled substances handling, and day-to-day pharmacy operations.
- Support the development of pharmacy policies, procedures, and staff training programs.
- Engage in staff meetings, educational sessions, and professional conferences.
Qualifications:
- Active pharmacist license in Florida in good standing.
- Minimum of one year experience with hazardous and non-hazardous sterile compounding compliant with USP <797>, USP <800>, DEA, OSHA, and Board of Pharmacy regulations.
- At least one year of recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
