Per Diem Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist - Lewes, DE
This per diem opportunity is seeking a skilled pharmacist to provide critical support in an inpatient hospital pharmacy setting. Working at a facility supported by remote order entry and equipped with Wellsky pharmacy software and Pyxis automation, this role offers involvement in a modern, technology-driven environment. The position will span from July 7, 2026, through July 22, 2026, with hours aligned to the pharmacys 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver pharmacy staffing coverage during scheduled shifts, including potential weekend, after-hours, and on-call assignments
- Prepare and verify medications in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
- Use Wellsky for hospital pharmacy information management and Pyxis for medication dispensing automation
- Perform IV compounding (chemotherapy compounding is not required)
- Collaborate effectively with a small pharmacy team that includes one technician and one pharmacist
- Support safe and efficient medication distribution to inpatient units
Desired Qualifications:
- Current pharmacist licensure and experience in a hospital inpatient setting
- Proficiency in IV compounding techniques
- Familiarity with pharmacy information systems (experience with Wellsky is a plus)
- Ability to adapt to remote order entry processes
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
