Home Infusion Clinical Pharmacist in Lynn, MA

Provide expert clinical pharmacy support in a dynamic home infusion setting focused on delivering personalized IV and infusion services for patients with acute and chronic medical needs. This contract position offers an opportunity to work onsite, ensuring safe and effective medication management in compliance with regulatory standards.

Location: Cambridge, MA
Job Type: Contract, PRN (Part-time as needed)
Schedule:

• Initial 4-8 days of EMR system training
• Typically 2 days per month with flexible scheduling
• Additional PRN coverage required on July 6-10 and July 13-17
• Shift hours: 9:00 AM 5:00 PM (onsite)

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and process physician orders; verify insurance benefits to facilitate timely medication delivery
• Perform sterile compounding and support cleanroom pharmacy operations adhering to USP 797 standards
• Ensure safe dispensing of medications and infusion-related supplies while maintaining accurate patient and pharmacy records
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, and healthcare team members to support optimal care
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff to uphold high quality and safety standards
• Manage patient caseloads and provide pharmacist coverage as needed

Qualifications:

• Active Massachusetts Pharmacist License in good standing
• Minimum of 1+ year pharmacy experience; 2+ years clinical pharmacy experience preferred
• Demonstrated infusion therapy and sterile compounding expertise preferred
• Thorough knowledge of USP 797 sterile compounding standards required
• Excellent communication, multitasking, time management, and critical-thinking skills
