IV Sterile Compounding Clinical Pharmacist | Media, Pennsylvania

A Specialty Compounding Pharmacy is seeking a skilled Pharmacist with sterile compounding expertise for a 13-week contract-to-hire opportunity. This role ensures the accurate preparation of sterile and non-sterile compounded medications in compliance with state and federal regulations, prioritizing patient safety and quality standards.

Location: Kennett Square, PA

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 4:30pm OR 9:00am - 5:30pm
• Possible shift: Monday - Friday, 10:30am - 7:00pm

Responsibilities:

• Accurately compound sterile and non-sterile preparations following master formula worksheets.
• Implement and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies to maintain compliance and safety.
• Ensure cleaning and garbing policies are strictly followed.
• Perform calculations and maintain thorough documentation.
• Operate and monitor production and computerized equipment in accordance with policy.
• Utilize proper aseptic techniques to maintain medication quality, purity, and potency.
• Prepare work areas thoroughly prior to production.
• Conduct quality control testing and inspections on compounded preparations.
• Stay updated on new compounding techniques, formulations, and technologies.
• Engage in ongoing professional development related to compounding pharmacy.

Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist license required.
• Recent pharmacy experience preferred.
• Sterile compounding experience is mandatory.
• New graduates with the required licensure and skills are encouraged to apply.
