Per Diem Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist in Millsboro, DE
This role offers an opportunity to provide essential pharmacy support during a PRN assignment from July 7, 2026, through July 22, 2026, in a hospital inpatient setting. The pharmacy operates from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and staffing coverage is critical to maintaining high-quality pharmaceutical care. Weekend, after-hours, and on-call coverage may be required, ensuring comprehensive patient support beyond regular hours.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing pharmacy staffing support within the hospital inpatient pharmacy
- Collaborating closely with a small pharmacy team consisting of one pharmacist and one technician
- Utilizing Wellsky pharmacy information system and Pyxis automation for medication distribution and management
- Performing IV compounding tasks (excluding chemotherapy)
- Supporting safe and accurate medication dispensing in compliance with hospital protocols
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed pharmacist with hospital inpatient clinical pharmacy experience
- Proficient in IV compounding; chemotherapy experience is not required
- Familiarity with hospital pharmacy information systems, preferably Wellsky
- Experience using Pyxis automated medication systems
- Comfortable working in a small team environment and adaptable to variable schedules, including potential weekend and on-call shifts
