A Home Infusion Team located in North Dallas, TX is seeking a dedicated, full-time pharmacist to join their direct hire team. This position offers a hands-on role in sterile compounding with a strong emphasis on intravenous (IV) medication preparation and home infusion pharmacy services. Candidates with extensive IV experience will find this role especially rewarding.

Schedule:

  • Full Time, 40 hours per week
  • Day Shift

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify prescriptions issued by authorized prescribers to ensure accuracy and determine required formulas and ingredients.
  • Prepare, fill, and compound medications using standard formulas and aseptic techniques, including weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients.
  • Enter and maintain accurate pharmacy records, including patient details, prescribed medications, and inventory data.
  • Generate and provide drug usage reports to pharmaceutical partners as requested.
  • Comply with Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) reporting requirements in accordance with state laws.
  • Plan and organize pharmacy service activities to meet patient needs and adhere to physician requests, administrative policies, and best practices.
  • Participate in continuing education activities to improve pharmacy services and maintain professional development.
  • Ensure development, enforcement, and periodic updates of pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Engage in quality assurance initiatives focused on patient care and medication safety.
  • Monitor documentation accuracy and assess the effectiveness and safety of drug therapies.
  • Assist management in ensuring compliance with all applicable State and Federal pharmacy laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Pharmacy
  • Valid Texas Pharmacist license in good standing (additional state licenses are advantageous)
  • USP 797 sterile compounding experience is required
  • Proven infusion/IV experience is required
  • Intrathecal experience is a plus
