IV Sterile Compounding Clinical Pharmacist - Santa Ana, CA

A growing outpatient pharmacy specializing in home infusion services is seeking a skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join their team. This role centers on managing patients receiving Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) therapy, providing clinical expertise, and ensuring the highest standards in sterile compounding within a closed-door pharmacy setting.

Location: Orange County, CA
Schedule:

• Full Time, MondayFriday
• 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
• 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Clinically manage and monitor patients on TPN therapy, reviewing formulations, lab results, and therapy progress.
• Collaborate closely with dietitians, physicians, and pharmacy staff to coordinate patient care and provide timely clinical recommendations.
• Counsel and educate patients regarding medications and infusion therapies, ensuring understanding and adherence.
• Oversee sterile compounding operations as needed, maintaining compliance with USP standards.
• Serve as a clinical resource and leader within the pharmacy team, fostering effective communication between clinical and non-clinical members.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 2+ years of recent, strong sterile compounding and clinical pharmacy experience.
• Proven expertise in managing TPN patients and therapy.
• Demonstrated history of collaborating effectively with dietitians and healthcare providers.
• Active and unrestricted California Pharmacist license required.
• Ideally licensed or willing to promptly obtain pharmacist licenses in Mississippi and Alabama.
• In-depth knowledge of USP and sterile pharmacy practices.
• Experience in home infusion pharmacy strongly preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to work closely with a multidisciplinary team.
