Per Diem Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist | Seaford, Delaware
This per diem opportunity is for a skilled Staff Pharmacist providing essential pharmacy services in a hospital inpatient setting. The assignment runs from July 7, 2026, through July 22, 2026, with pharmacy operating hours from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Flexibility to support weekend, after-hours, and on-call coverage will be necessary at times.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver clinical pharmacy services for inpatient care, ensuring safe and effective medication use.
- Support daily pharmacy staffing needs alongside a dedicated team including one pharmacist and one technician.
- Utilize hospital pharmacy systems such as Wellsky and automation technology like Pyxis for medication management.
- Prepare IV compounds adhering to hospital protocols; no chemotherapy compounding is required.
- Collaborate with remote order entry services to maintain high standards of patient care.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Licensed Pharmacist with hospital inpatient clinical experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency with IV compounding in a hospital setting.
- Familiarity with hospital pharmacy information systems, preferably Wellsky.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment with occasional weekend and after-hours responsibilities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to support existing pharmacy staff.
