Travel IV Sterile Compounding Clinical Pharmacist in Starke, FL

Contract Type:

• Travel position, 13+ weeks contract to hire

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret, verify, and process physician medication orders accurately
• Perform and oversee sterile compounding in adherence to USP <797> and USP <800> standards
• Conduct final verification of compounded sterile preparations to ensure quality and safety
• Review medication profiles for safety checks, including allergies, interactions, dosing, and compatibility
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and healthcare team members to optimize patient care
• Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and support staff, promoting professional growth
• Maintain cleanroom, aseptic techniques, and rigorous environmental monitoring standards
• Participate in quality assurance initiatives, medication safety programs, audits, and continuous improvement activities
• Manage compounding documentation, batch records, and regulatory compliance paperwork
• Assist with inventory control, including controlled substances and general pharmacy operations
• Help develop pharmacy policies, procedures, and provide staff training
• Engage actively in staff meetings and professional conferences

Qualifications:

• Active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing
• Minimum one year of experience with hazardous and non-hazardous sterile compounding following USP <797>, USP <800>, DEA, OSHA, and Board of Pharmacy regulations
• At least one year of recent inpatient hospital experience
