Per Diem Clinical Pharmacist in Yucaipa, CA

A highly skilled pharmacist is needed to provide professional pharmaceutical care in a southern California inpatient hospital setting for a two-week assignment in August 2026. This role involves ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medications while supporting clinical teams with expert recommendations. Location: Yucaipa, CA a charming Southern California town.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM (Full-time, per diem)
• On-call weekends and after hours (calls are rare but availability is required)

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and review medication orders for accuracy and patient safety.
• Compound sterile medications including IV admixtures and unit dose preparations (no chemotherapy or hazardous drugs).
• Respond to emergency room codes as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and sterile compounding standards.
• Monitor patients medication therapies and provide clinical recommendations to physicians and nursing staff.
• Manage Pyxis machine restocking at two local family health centers.

Qualifications:

• Active and clear California Pharmacist License.
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient pharmacy experience.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical software systems such as CSPI, Evident, or Pyxis preferred (training available if needed).
• Experience as the sole pharmacist in a clinical environment preferred.
• Willingness and ability to cover on-call hours.
