Hospital Inpatient Director of Pharmacy in Avon, IN

A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced professional to lead pharmacy operations within a hospital environment. This contract role is ideal for a pharmacy management expert who is looking to make a meaningful impact through overseeing daily operations, staffing, and ensuring compliance with sterile compounding procedures.

Location: Avon, IN
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• On-call Wednesdays
  Duration: 13 weeks

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate pharmacy operations in a hospital with a daily census of approximately 30 beds
• Participate in meetings and operational management activities to maintain efficient service delivery
• Provide leadership and support to pharmacy staff, including staffing coordination
• Oversee sterile compounding practices in compliance with standards
• Utilize Meditech system for order entry and pharmacy documentation (experience preferred)

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Proven pharmacy management experience in a hospital setting
• Familiarity with hospital inpatient pharmacy operations
• Working knowledge of Meditech order entry system is a plus
• Demonstrated experience with sterile compounding
• Valid Indiana pharmacy license
• Willingness to serve as a traveler considered
