Director of Pharmacy - Barboursville, WV

An interim leadership opportunity is available for a Director of Pharmacy serving as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) in Barboursville, WV. This contract role begins on August 31, 2026, and will continue until a permanent Director of Pharmacy is hired. The current Director is retiring, ensuring smooth knowledge transfer as onsite training will be provided.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• On-call duties after shifts and on weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee staffing and administrative operations as the Pharmacist in Charge
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and state regulations
• Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure optimal pharmacy services
• Manage medication distribution systems and inventory control
• Participate in ongoing staff training and professional development

Desired Qualifications:

• Licensed pharmacist in the state of West Virginia
• Experience as Director of Pharmacy or Pharmacist in Charge preferred
• Background in hospital pharmacy settings
• Familiarity with Omnicell systems is highly advantageous
• Strong leadership and communication skills
