Hospital Director of Pharmacy | Beaverton, Oregon

A leadership opportunity is available for an experienced Director of Pharmacy to provide strategic oversight and operational management of a hospital pharmacy department. This role is based in Juneau, AK, supporting a 60-bed hospital with a team focused on delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all pharmacy department functions including personnel leadership, compliance assurance, budget control, and purchasing processes
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and hospital policies
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication management
• Guide department initiatives and continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current experience as a Director of Pharmacy in a hospital setting is essential
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor staff effectively
• Familiarity with pharmacy compliance, budgeting, and purchasing in a hospital environment
• Ability to obtain an Alaska Pharmacy license quickly; note that Alaska does not require a law exam, and licensing typically takes 3-4 weeks
• Candidates not currently licensed in Alaska are welcome
