Inpatient Hospital Director of Pharmacy in Belt, MT
This opportunity calls for a dynamic pharmacy leader to serve as Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at an inpatient hospital environment. This contract role spans approximately 13 to 17 weeks, operating Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The facility features a robust inpatient hospital setting with a busy emergency department, surgical services, and an infusion center. Specialty areas include the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), outpatient services, and clinics. The pharmacy team consists of 6 pharmacists and 4 technicians in the hospital, and an additional 3 pharmacists and 3 technicians in the infusion center. Meditech is used for order entry, and TouchPoint technology supports automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage pharmacy operations as Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist in Charge.
- Provide both administrative oversight and hands-on staffing support to stabilize pharmacy functions.
- Oversee sterile compounding activities, ensuring compliance and safety.
- Collaborate with clinical and support teams across multiple specialty areas.
- Maintain regulatory compliance and promote operational excellence within the pharmacy department.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
- Strong background in pharmacy management and leadership.
- Solid expertise in sterile compounding practices.
- Must hold an active Montana pharmacy license.
