Hospital Director of Pharmacy | Broken Arrow, Oklahoma
Lead pharmacy operations as the Director of Pharmacy at a major regional hospital in Tulsa, OK. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all pharmacy department activities ensuring compliance with hospital policies, professional standards, and state and federal regulations.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and oversight to clinical pharmacists and pharmacy staff.
- Ensure adherence to JCAHO, DEA, and State Board of Pharmacy regulations, as well as safety, infection control, and disaster preparedness protocols.
- Establish and monitor quality improvement, fiscal, productivity, and patient satisfaction goals.
- Develop, implement, and maintain department-specific policies and procedures.
- Lead recruitment, training, evaluation, and retention of pharmacy personnel.
- Promote effective communication and teamwork among pharmacy staff, clinicians, and ancillary departments.
- Participate in organizational initiatives to enhance pharmacy practice and patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
- Minimum 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Active pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.
- BLS certification required within 14 days of hire.
- Preferred: Doctor of Pharmacy degree and 5+ years hospital experience; ALS/ACLS certification for Code Blue response.
