Hospital Director of Pharmacy in Broken Arrow, OK

Lead the Pharmacy Department at a major hospital facility in Tulsa, OK, as the Director of Pharmacy. Schedule:

• 8 hours per day, day shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise all pharmacy activities in accordance with hospital policies and State and Federal regulations.
• Provide mentorship and oversight to clinical pharmacists and support staff.
• Ensure compliance with JCAHO, DEA, State Board of Pharmacy, and safety standards including infection control and disaster planning.
• Develop and implement department-specific policies, quality improvement goals, and fiscal objectives.
• Lead recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and retention efforts within the pharmacy team.
• Promote teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration among staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain smooth department operations through effective controls and professional guidance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an ACPE-accredited pharmacy school.
• Minimum of three years hospital pharmacy experience, including at least two years in a leadership role.
• Active pharmacist license in good standing with the respective State Board of Pharmacy.
• BLS certification required within 14 days of hire.
• Preferred: Pharm.D. degree, five or more years hospital experience, ALS/ACLS certification if responding to Code Blue situations.
