Inpatient Director of Pharmacy in Chesterfield, MO

The primary focus is overseeing the pharmacy setup for a new facility, ensuring smooth operations from procurement to medication packaging and stocking. The role requires strong leadership in coordinating with executive leadership and area directors, as well as hands-on involvement in order verification once patients are onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the final stages of pharmacy setup, including procuring and packaging medications
• Manage inventory and stock Pyxis automation systems
• Verify medication orders upon patient admission
• Communicate regularly with C-suite executives and Area Directors of Pharmacy
• Provide on-call support on weekends and additional support during the initial setup phase

Required Qualifications:

• Experience as a pharmacy manager, preferably within inpatient behavioral health settings
• Proficient with Pyxis automation systems
• Active Missouri pharmacy license
• Ability to learn and utilize HCS order entry system (training provided)

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• On-call rotation on weekends
