Director of Pharmacy in Chicago, IL
Lead the pharmacy services at a respected Chicago South Side hospital known for its historic commitment to community health since 1912. This direct hire role offers an engaging leadership challenge with a competitive salary range of $165,000 to $185,000 annually, including an annual bonus and potential relocation assistance.

- Pharmacy Operating Hours:
Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM 10:00 PM
Saturday and Sunday: 7:00 AM 8:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide full-spectrum leadership for clinical, operational, staffing, administrative, and financial aspects of the hospitals pharmacy department.
- Collaborate closely with hospital administration and clinical leadership teams to drive patient care excellence.
- Manage a diverse pharmacy team of approximately 20 employees, including full-time, part-time, and PRN staff.
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and CMS standards, maintaining high-quality pharmacy services.
Qualifications and Desired Experience
- Active Illinois Pharmacist License in good standing (mandatory).
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Director of Pharmacy in an acute care inpatient hospital setting.
- At least 3 years of acute care inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
- PharmD preferred; Board Certification and hospital pharmacy residency completion are strong advantages.
- Proven ability to manage multi-level pharmacy teams and maintain regulatory compliance.
- Experience in community or safety net hospitals is a plus.
