Director of Pharmacy in Cibolo, TX

A healthcare facility specializing in behavioral health is seeking a Staff Pharmacist for a contract position to provide critical pharmacy services and oversight. This role requires both direct patient care and administrative responsibilities as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) during a pivotal time for the hospital, which is actively regaining its CMS accreditation.

Location:

• Cibolo, TX

Schedule:

• Coverage needed from November 9 to November 16
• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
• On-call duties required after each shift and on weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide inpatient pharmacy services in a behavioral health setting
• Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge, managing staffing and administrative duties
• Utilize and learn site-specific automation systems, including Omnicell and HCS order entry
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy policies and regulations during hospital ramp-up phase
• Collaborate closely with a small pharmacy team consisting of one full-time and one per diem pharmacist

Qualifications and Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist in the state of Texas
• Proven inpatient hospital pharmacy experience is mandatory
• Ability to assume leadership as PIC and manage pharmacy operations effectively
• Familiarity with behavioral health pharmacy practices is highly advantageous

Technology and Training:

• Site utilizes Omnicell automation and HCS order entry system; training will be provided
