Director of Pharmacy | Cicero, Illinois
This direct-hire opportunity is for a Director of Pharmacy role at a well-established not-for-profit acute care hospital located on Chicagos South Side. The hospital has been serving its community since 1912 and presents a meaningful leadership experience for the right candidate. This position offers a competitive salary range of $165,000 to $185,000 annually, plus an annual bonus and relocation assistance based on distance.
Location:
- Chicagos South Side, Illinois
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM 10:00 PM
- Saturday and Sunday: 7:00 AM 8:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee clinical, operational, administrative, staffing, and financial aspects of the hospitals pharmacy department
- Lead and manage a pharmacy team of approximately 20 employees, including full-time, part-time, and PRN staff
- Collaborate with hospital administration and clinical leadership to align pharmacy services with organizational goals
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and CMS standards
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Illinois Pharmacist License in good standing (mandatory)
- Minimum three years of Director of Pharmacy experience in an acute care inpatient hospital setting (mandatory)
- Minimum three years of acute care inpatient hospital pharmacy experience (mandatory)
- PharmD preferred; Board Certification and hospital pharmacy residency are strong pluses
- Experience managing multi-level pharmacy teams
- Background in community or safety net hospital and strong compliance knowledge desirable
