Hospital Director of Pharmacy in Crawfordville, FL
This direct hire opportunity offers an executive leadership role as Director of Pharmacy at a major regional health system in Florida. The facility is a 772-bed, Level II Trauma Center with a full scope of clinical services, including specialized care units and a comprehensive cancer center. Leading a team of over 100 employees with six direct reports, this position oversees a 24/7 pharmacy operation.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing strategic and operational leadership for inpatient, ambulatory, clinical, sterile compounding, and inventory pharmacy services
- Managing a diverse pharmacy leadership team with assistant directors and managers
- Collaborating closely with C-suite hospital executives to align pharmacy goals with organizational objectives
- Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and maintaining high standards of quality and safety
Qualifications:
- Active Florida Pharmacist License and Consultant Pharmacist License, or ability to obtain both prior to start
- Minimum of three years experience as Director of Pharmacy in an acute care inpatient hospital setting
- At least three years of acute care inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
- Leadership experience managing large pharmacy teams across multiple service lines
- Experience with sterile compounding oversight preferred
- PharmD degree strongly preferred; Board Certification and pharmacy residency completion are a plus
- Experience in a Level I or II Trauma Center environment highly desirable
Location: Crawfordville, FL (near Tallahassee)
The compensation package includes a base salary range from $205,000 to $220,000, a $10,000 sign-on bonus, and eligibility for an annual bonus. This is a permanent, direct hire position ideal for pharmacy leaders ready to take on a significant executive role at a flagship health system.
