Hospital Inpatient Director of Pharmacy - Eddyville, Iowa

A hospital in Eddyville, IA seeks an experienced Pharmacy Director for a 13-week contract with potential extensions. This leadership role involves overseeing pharmacy operations in an inpatient hospital environment, stabilizing workflows, and guiding a team of three pharmacists and four technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily pharmacy operations including staffing, scheduling, and supervision
• Participate in meetings and serve as a representative for the pharmacy services provider
• Oversee financial aspects and budget management
• Support recruitment efforts to build and maintain a strong pharmacy team
• Provide on-call support as needed and ensure effective coverage
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven pharmacy management experience, preferably in a hospital setting
• Solid background in inpatient pharmacy operations and sterile compounding
• Proficiency with Omnicell automation systems and Meditech order entry
• Current Iowa pharmacy license required

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, daytime hours
• Flexible scheduling to accommodate staffing needs
