Inpatient Director of Pharmacy in Fenton, MO

This role calls for an experienced Pharmacy Director to lead the establishment and operation of a new pharmacy within a Behavioral Health setting. You will play a key role in setting up pharmacy systems and processes to ensure smooth operations in an inpatient environment.

Location: Fenton, MO
Job Type: Contract (8 weeks with possible extension)
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
• On-call weekends

Responsibilities include:

• Leading the continuation of pharmacy setup, including procurement, medication packaging, and stocking of Pyxis automated dispensing systems
• Verifying medication orders as patients arrive onsite
• Communicating regularly with C-suite executives and Area Directors of Pharmacy to align operational goals
• Managing pharmacy operations without involvement in sterile compounding
• Providing on-call support during weekends and additional assistance during initial setup phases

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current Missouri pharmacy license
• Proven pharmacy management experience
• Strong background in inpatient Behavioral Health pharmacy
• Proficient with Pyxis automation systems
• Familiarity with HCS order entry (training provided)
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with leadership and multidisciplinary teams
