Inpatient Director of Pharmacy - Florissant, MO

An opening opportunity in a behavioral health pharmacy setting is available for an experienced pharmacy leader to direct pharmacy operations during a critical new pharmacy setup. This contract role offers day shifts with a consistent schedule, ideal for an organized professional skilled in inpatient behavioral health pharmacy management.

Location: Florissant, MO
Type: Contract 8 weeks with possible extension
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Weekend on-call duties

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead pharmacy setup efforts, including procurement and packaging of medications
• Manage medication stocking and oversee Pyxis automation system operations
• Perform order verification once patients are on-site
• Maintain consistent communication with C-suite executives and Area Directors of Pharmacy
• Provide additional operational support as needed during setup
• No sterile compounding responsibilities

Required Qualifications/Experience:

• Proven experience as a pharmacy manager with leadership in inpatient behavioral health pharmacy settings
• Proficiency with Pyxis automation systems
• Valid Missouri pharmacy license or eligibility to obtain one
• Basic familiarity with HCS order entry system (training provided)
