Hospital Director of Pharmacy in Houston, TX

Lead pharmacy operations as the Director of Pharmacy in a community-focused health system anchored by a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital and a 10-bed inpatient Behavioral Health Unit. Schedule/Hours:

• Monday Friday: 7:00 AM 5:00 PM
• Saturday: 7:00 AM 1:00 PM
• Sunday: Closed
• Holidays: 7:00 AM 3:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all pharmacy operations ensuring high standards of patient care and medication safety.
• Lead and mentor a pharmacy team including full-time and PRN pharmacists and technicians.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to optimize pharmacy services.
• Manage regulatory compliance and maintain pharmacy licensure and standards.
• Implement initiatives for continuous quality improvement and efficient pharmacy workflow.

Qualifications:

• Current, active pharmacy license in good standing in New York State, or willingness to obtain prior to start date (employment contingent on licensure).
• Disclosure and verification of all active and inactive pharmacist licenses.
• Minimum of 3 years acute care hospital management experience.
• 35 years of hospital pharmacy experience.

• 2 Full-Time Pharmacists
• 2 Full-Time Pharmacy Technicians
• 2 PRN Pharmacists
• 1 PRN Pharmacy Technician

This role offers a competitive salary up to $169,674. Relocation assistance and sign-on bonuses are not available.
