Director of Pharmacy - Kenova, WV

An interim leadership opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacy professional to serve as both Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at a healthcare facility in Kenova, WV. This contract role begins on August 31, 2026, providing essential coverage until the permanent Director of Pharmacy is hired, as the current DOP is retiring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily staffing and administrative duties as the PIC to ensure smooth pharmacy operations.
• Oversee compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
• Serve as a clinical and operational leader to pharmacy staff.
• Provide on-call support after regular hours and on weekends.
• Participate in onsite training provided by the retiring Director of Pharmacy to ensure a successful transition.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience as a Director of Pharmacy or Pharmacist in Charge.
• Hospital pharmacy experience with expertise in Omnicell systems.
• Active West Virginia pharmacist license is required.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
• On-call responsibilities after shifts and on weekends.
