Director of Pharmacy - Milton, WV

An interim leadership opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacy professional to serve as Director of Pharmacy (DOP) and Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at a healthcare facility in Milton, West Virginia. This contract position begins on August 31, 2026, and will continue until a permanent Director of Pharmacy is hired due to the current DOPs upcoming retirement.

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• On-call responsibilities after each shift and on weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations and staffing within the pharmacy
• Fulfill administrative duties associated with PIC responsibilities
• Lead and support pharmacy staff to ensure quality and compliance
• Participate in onsite training provided by the retiring Director of Pharmacy to ensure a smooth transition

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

• Current West Virginia pharmacist licensure is mandatory
• Proven leadership experience in hospital pharmacy settings
• Familiarity with automated medication management systems, especially Omnicell, is highly desirable
• Prior experience as a Director of Pharmacy or Pharmacist in Charge will be advantageous
