Hospital Inpatient Director of Pharmacy - Milwaukee, WI
A unique opportunity is available for a licensed Pharmacist in Charge to manage pharmacy operations within a small acute care hospital setting. This 13-week contract position requires a dedicated professional to lead pharmacy services at a micro hospital with a 7-bed emergency department and 8 inpatient beds.
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- Day shift
- 40 hours per week
Responsibilities include fulfilling both staff pharmacist duties and Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) responsibilities, conducting audits, and ensuring proper restocking of medications. The environment uses Epic for order entry and Omnicell for site automation. This facility historically has managed challenges with controlled substance diversion, emphasizing the need for a vigilant pharmacy leader. No sterile compounding is involved.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Wisconsin pharmacy license
- Proven pharmacy management experience
- Inpatient hospital pharmacy background
- Ability to work independently as the sole pharmacy staff member on site
