Oversee pharmacy operations in a behavioral health hospital setting as the Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist in Charge (PIC). This contract opportunity is located in Naperville, IL, with a 13-week duration during daytime hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, plus on-call responsibilities seven days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily staffing and scheduling to ensure smooth pharmacy workflow
  • Lead regular meetings and maintain open communication with all stakeholders
  • Oversee pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing and inventory, without sterile compounding duties
  • Utilize Omnicell automation system to support medication management (experience preferred)
  • Monitor and maintain pharmacy compliance and performance standards
  • Provide monthly progress updates via email and one-on-one meetings with the account manager
  • Maintain a collaborative relationship with a part-time pharmacist and pharmacy technician responsible for Omnicell restocking

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven pharmacy management experience in a hospital environment
  • Active Illinois pharmacy license
  • Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with clinical and administrative teams
  • Basic financial knowledge to assist with budgeting and resource allocation within the pharmacy
  • Familiarity with behavioral health pharmacy operations and psychotropic medications is advantageous
