Hospital Director of Pharmacy - New Kensington, PA

This full-time Director of Pharmacy position is based in Natrona Heights, PA, offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus with direct hire employment status. The role is integral to a critical illness recovery hospital focused on delivering world-class inpatient post-ICU care to patients requiring extended healing and recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the hospital pharmacys clinical, operational, staffing, financial, and administrative functions in close collaboration with the CEO and clinical teams.
• Ensure accurate preparation and dispensing of all drugs and chemicals.
• Maintain compliance with The Joint Commission, CMS, and other regulatory agencies.
• Manage and administer the Adverse Drug Reaction Program.
• Develop, implement, and participate in new employee training and education programs.
• Participate in quality assurance activities related to drug utilization and effectiveness.
• Monitor patient drug therapy outcomes.
• Initiate and lead at least one clinically oriented program annually, such as Pharmacokinetic Dosing Service or Pain Management Services.
• Foster an environment focused on continuous quality improvement.
• Provide patient and family counseling and education.

Qualifications:

• Successful completion of all educational requirements for state licensure.
• Minimum of 3 years hospital pharmacy experience within the last 5 years.
• Current state pharmacy license and BLS certification if required by state law.
• Preferred: PharmD or BS Pharm with an advanced degree or hospital pharmacy residency.
• At least 1 year in a managerial role preferred.
• Board Certification and/or residency completion is a plus.
