Director of Pharmacy in New Port Richey, FL
Oversee and elevate multi-state pharmacy operations as a strategic leader committed to excellence, compliance, and teamwork. Location: Clearwater, FL
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations across multiple states.
- Provide strategic oversight and guidance to pharmacy managers, supervisors, and staff.
- Recruit, develop, and mentor high-performing teams committed to service excellence.
- Develop and enforce pharmacy policies, procedures, workflows, and standards.
- Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives and chair quality review committees.
- Monitor financial performance, implement cost-control measures, and support sound business decisions.
- Maintain vendor and manufacturer relationships to ensure product availability and competitive pricing.
- Ensure adherence to Board of Pharmacy regulations, Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and other applicable requirements.
- Foster collaboration, communication, and customer service excellence throughout the organization.
- Represent the organization professionally while upholding confidentiality and ethical standards.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Pharmacy, Healthcare, Business, or a related field (or equivalent education and experience).
- 57 years of progressive pharmacy experience with at least 4 years in a leadership or management capacity.
- In-depth knowledge of pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance, Board of Pharmacy requirements, and healthcare reimbursement.
- Proven experience with performance management, process improvement, and quality assurance.
- Strong leadership, communication, presentation, coaching, and decision-making capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to analyze complex business and regulatory data, manage multiple priorities, and drive results.
- Multi-state pharmacy licensures required.
- Willingness to travel as part of role responsibilities.
