Hospital Director of Pharmacy - Owasso, OK

Lead pharmacy operations as a Director of Pharmacy within a prestigious 656-bed hospital renowned for specialized centers including a burn center, womens health center, cancer treatment technology, and a heart institute. This direct hire role is based in Tulsa, OK, offering an 8-hour day shift schedule and potential relocation assistance for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage hospital pharmacy operations in compliance with hospital policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and oversight to clinical pharmacists and support staff.
• Ensure adherence to JCAHO, DEA, and State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Develop and maintain department policies and procedures, focusing on quality improvement, fiscal responsibility, and patient satisfaction.
• Lead recruitment, training, evaluation, and retention of pharmacy personnel.
• Foster effective communication and teamwork among pharmacy staff, healthcare providers, and ancillary departments.
• Participate actively in meetings and promote multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Maintain safety, infection control, disaster planning, and security protocols within the pharmacy.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Bachelor of Science or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Minimum of three years hospital pharmacy experience.
• At least two years in a leadership role.
• Active pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy.
• Ability to obtain BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• Preferred: Doctor of Pharmacy degree, five or more years hospital pharmacy experience, and ALS/ACLS certification for Code Blue response.
