Hospital Director of Pharmacy in Owasso, OK

This direct hire position offers an opportunity to lead pharmacy services at a prominent hospital in Owasso, OK. The role is ideal for experienced pharmacy professionals ready to manage and innovate within a hospital pharmacy setting.

Schedule:

• 8 hours per day, day shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all pharmacy operations ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards such as JCAHO, DEA, and State Board of Pharmacy
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and oversight to clinical pharmacists and support staff
• Develop and implement departmental policies, quality improvement plans, and goals aligned with hospital and corporate objectives
• Manage recruitment, training, evaluation, and retention of pharmacy personnel
• Foster effective communication and teamwork among pharmacy staff and interdisciplinary teams
• Ensure adherence to safety, infection control, and disaster preparedness protocols
• Participate actively in meetings and promote a collaborative work environment

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited institution
• Minimum three years of hospital pharmacy experience with at least two years in a leadership role
• Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy
• BLS certification required within 14 days of hire Preferred:
• Doctor of Pharmacy degree
• Five or more years of hospital pharmacy experience
• ALS/ACLS certification (required if responding to Code Blue situations)
