An opportunity is available for an experienced Director of Pharmacy to lead the pharmacy department at a 60-bed hospital located in Juneau, AK. This role offers leadership over all pharmacy operations including personnel management, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and purchasing processes. The ideal candidate will bring current hospital Director of Pharmacy experience and have the ability to secure an Alaska pharmacy license promptly.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall oversight and strategic leadership for the pharmacy department
  • Manage pharmacy personnel, workflow, and productivity to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Ensure strict compliance with all state, federal, and hospital pharmacy regulations
  • Oversee budgeting, purchasing, and inventory control to maintain operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership to align pharmacy services with institutional goals

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current Director of Pharmacy experience in a hospital setting
  • Ability to obtain an Alaska pharmacy license within approximately 3-4 weeks (no law exam required)
