Hospital Director of Pharmacy | Rock Falls, Illinois

An interim leadership opportunity is available to oversee pharmacy operations at a 100-bed community hospital located approximately 100 miles west of Chicago. This 13-week contract role requires an experienced pharmacy professional to maintain smooth and efficient pharmacy services during a temporary leadership absence.

Key responsibilities include providing day-to-day leadership and oversight for pharmacy operations, managing a team of 24 direct reports, and ensuring continuity in workflow, staffing, medication safety, and regulatory compliance. This position requires close collaboration with hospital leadership, including the VP and Chief Medical Officer, to support organizational goals and enhance patient care.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Illinois Pharmacist license is mandatory
• Proven hospital pharmacy leadership experience with strong operational acumen
• Demonstrated expertise in regulatory compliance and medication safety
• Excellent people and team management skills with the ability to lead a diverse staff
