A leadership opportunity is available for a Director of Pharmacy to oversee pharmacy operations across multiple states with a focus on regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and financial performance. This permanent, direct hire role requires strategic oversight, team development, and collaboration with external partners to ensure consistent, high-quality pharmacy services.

Location:

  • Clearwater, FL (multi-state responsibilities)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead multi-state pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Provide strategic direction and support to pharmacy managers, supervisors, and staff.
  • Recruit, develop, and manage high-performing pharmacy teams.
  • Develop and maintain pharmacy policies, procedures, workflows, and operational standards.
  • Drive continuous quality improvement and chair quality review committees.
  • Monitor financial performance; implement cost-control and business improvement measures.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and manufacturers to ensure product availability and competitive pricing.
  • Ensure compliance with Board of Pharmacy regulations, Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and other applicable standards.
  • Promote organizational collaboration, communication, customer service excellence, and change initiatives.
  • Represent the organization professionally while upholding confidentiality and ethical practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Pharmacy, Healthcare, Business, or a related field (or equivalent education and experience).
  • 57 years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years in leadership or management.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance, Board of Pharmacy requirements, and healthcare reimbursement.
  • Experience with performance management, process improvement, and quality assurance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, coaching, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to analyze business and regulatory data, manage priorities, and deliver results.
  • Multi-state pharmacy licensures required.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
