Director of Pharmacy | Spring Hill, Tennessee
This leadership role is focused on driving pharmacy compliance and operational excellence within a rapidly growing dermatology pharmacy organization. The position is based primarily onsite at the Administration office in Franklin, TN, with some quarterly travel to the pharmacy location in Abilene, TX. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead readiness and compliance efforts for URAC, NABP/VIPPS, USP 795/800, DEA, and state boards
- Develop scalable SOPs, compliance workflows, tracking, and documentation processes
- Conduct mock audits and proactively address operational gaps and vulnerabilities
- Maintain multi-state licensure tracking and operational standards
- Design and lead compliance training initiatives for pharmacy staff
- Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance operational accountability and quality assurance
- Promote consistency and audit readiness across multiple pharmacy locations
Desired Experience:
- Active Tennessee Pharmacist license (candidates from diverse backgrounds encouraged)
- Leadership experience is required
- Minimum 5 years in pharmacy compliance, accreditation, regulatory oversight, or quality assurance preferred
- Strong knowledge of URAC, NABP/VIPPS, USP 795/800, DEA, and state board regulations preferred
- Proven track record in process improvement, system building, and operational accountability
- Excellent organizational, communication, documentation, and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Technical proficiency with compliance systems, spreadsheets, LMS, and reporting tools
Location & Schedule:
- Primarily onsite at Franklin, TN administration office
- Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM; no weekends or on-call duties
- Some remote flexibility after onboarding; occasional travel to Abilene, TX required
- Preference for local candidates; relocation assistance available if needed
