Hospital Director of Pharmacy - Sterling, Illinois

Provide interim leadership as the Director of Pharmacy for a 100-bed community hospital located about 100 miles west of Chicago. This contract role spans approximately 13 weeks, starting as soon as possible, to maintain operational continuity during a temporary leadership absence.

Responsibilities include overseeing daily pharmacy operations with a team of 24 direct reports, managing staffing and workflow, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining medication safety standards. The role requires close collaboration with hospital leadership, including the Vice President and Chief Medical Officer, to support organizational goals and patient care excellence.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Illinois Pharmacist license is mandatory
• Previous leadership experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is required
• Strong skills in operations management, regulatory adherence, and effective team leadership
