Hospital Director of Pharmacy | Tulsa, Oklahoma

Lead the pharmacy department of a prominent 656-bed hospital renowned for specialized centers including burn care, womens health, rehabilitation, cancer treatment, and cardiac services. This Direct Hire opportunity offers a day shift schedule (8 hrs/day) in Tulsa, OK, with potential relocation assistance for qualified candidates.

As the Director of Pharmacy, you will oversee all pharmacy operations ensuring compliance with hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and accreditation requirements. Your leadership will drive innovation, quality improvement, fiscal responsibility, and high standards of patient care. Collaborating across disciplines, you will foster a positive work environment that supports the professional growth and development of clinical pharmacists and staff. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, plan, and organize pharmacy activities in alignment with hospital goals and regulatory standards
• Implement and maintain department policies, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance including JCAHO and DEA requirements
• Set and monitor quality, productivity, fiscal, and patient satisfaction goals
• Manage recruitment, orientation, performance evaluations, and professional development of pharmacy personnel
• Promote strong teamwork within pharmacy staff and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Ensure continuous education and competency assessments for employees

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPE-accredited institution
• Minimum of 3 years hospital pharmacy experience; at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Active pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy
• BLS certification (to be obtained within 14 days of hire) Preferred:
• PharmD degree
• 5+ years hospital pharmacy experience
• ALS/ACLS certification (required if responding to Code Blue)
