Inpatient Hospital Director of Pharmacy in Ulm, MT
Lead pharmacy operations as the Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) in a dynamic inpatient hospital setting located in Ulm, MT. This contract opportunity, lasting 13 to 17 weeks, offers a chance to apply your leadership skills while managing a multidisciplinary pharmacy team dedicated to patient care across multiple departments.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as both Director of Pharmacy and PIC, overseeing daily pharmacy operations and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Manage and support a team of 6 pharmacists and 4 technicians in the hospital pharmacy, along with 3 pharmacists and 3 technicians in the infusion center.
- Provide leadership to stabilize pharmacy functions and foster a productive and efficient work environment.
- Oversee sterile compounding operations and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with clinical staff across specialty areas including the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), outpatient services, clinic hospital, emergency department, surgical hospital, and infusion center.
- Utilize Meditech for order entry and TouchPoint automation to optimize workflow and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Proven inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
- Demonstrated pharmacy management and leadership capabilities.
- Proficiency in sterile compounding practices.
- Valid Montana pharmacy license.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
