Hospital Inpatient Director of Pharmacy | West Bend, Wisconsin

This opportunity features a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) role at a small acute care hospital setting, specializing in inpatient and emergency department pharmacy services. The facility includes a 7-bed Emergency Department and an 8-bed inpatient micro hospital. This is a contract position covering a 13-week duration, with full responsibility as the sole pharmacist on-site.

Location:

• West Bend, WI

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Day shift, 40 hours per week

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge overseeing all pharmacy operations
• Perform staff pharmacist duties including medication order verification via Epic order entry system
• Conduct audits and assurance activities to maintain compliance, with a focus on preventing controlled substance diversion
• Manage medication restocking and inventory control using Omnicell automation
• Ensure pharmacy adherence to regulatory standards in an environment without sterile compounding

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Wisconsin pharmacy license
• Proven pharmacy management experience
• Inpatient hospital pharmacy expertise, particularly in acute care environments
• Ability to function independently as the sole pharmacist and PIC on-site
