Hospital Inpatient Director of Pharmacy | West Bend, Wisconsin
This opportunity features a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) role at a small acute care hospital setting, specializing in inpatient and emergency department pharmacy services. The facility includes a 7-bed Emergency Department and an 8-bed inpatient micro hospital. This is a contract position covering a 13-week duration, with full responsibility as the sole pharmacist on-site.

Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- Day shift, 40 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge overseeing all pharmacy operations
- Perform staff pharmacist duties including medication order verification via Epic order entry system
- Conduct audits and assurance activities to maintain compliance, with a focus on preventing controlled substance diversion
- Manage medication restocking and inventory control using Omnicell automation
- Ensure pharmacy adherence to regulatory standards in an environment without sterile compounding
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Wisconsin pharmacy license
- Proven pharmacy management experience
- Inpatient hospital pharmacy expertise, particularly in acute care environments
- Ability to function independently as the sole pharmacist and PIC on-site
