IV Certified Pharmacist | Alabaster, Alabama

An infusion pharmacist position is available in Alabaster, AL, for a short-term contract lasting approximately 6 to 8 weeks. This role requires a qualified pharmacist with strong experience in Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) and intravenous (IV) medication verification. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately checking and verifying infusion orders, with a focus on TPN.
• Ensuring compliance with pharmacy standards and procedures.
• Collaborating with medical staff to support safe and effective medication use.
• Utilizing the CareTend system for medication order processing.

Qualifications:

• Active and current Alabama pharmacist license in good standing.
• Strong TPN experience is required.
• Prior infusion pharmacy experience preferred; however, inpatient pharmacists experienced with checking IV and TPN formulations will also be considered.
• Proficiency with the CareTend system is an advantage.
