Travel Retail Pharmacist in Albany, NY

This opportunity offers a full-time, contract position as a Staff Pharmacist in an outpatient retail pharmacy serving the Cooperstown, New York area, with occasional coverage needed at nearby Oneonta and Delhi locations. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, totaling 40 hours per week. This role supports a well-respected healthcare system known for quality pharmacy services and excellent community reputation.

Responsibilities include managing high-volume prescription dispensing, approximately 1,100 scripts weekly, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols. You will provide outstanding customer service, administer immunizations, and support the Meds to Beds program that facilitates medication delivery to hospital patients. This role uses the PioneerRx Pharmacy Management System and EPIC EMR for patient records and insurance information. Sterile compounding and chemotherapy medications are not part of the duties.

Ideal candidates will possess:

• Active New York State Pharmacist License in good standing
• Experience in retail or outpatient pharmacy settings
• Comfort with high-volume dispensing environments
• Familiarity with PioneerRx preferred
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
• Immunization certification or commitment to obtain
• Strong commitment to exceptional customer service
• Flexibility to cover occasional shifts in Oneonta and Delhi locations
