Inpatient Pharmacist in Albuquerque, NM

An inpatient pharmacist position is available for a dynamic healthcare facility in Albuquerque, NM, focused on providing excellent patient care in a hospital setting. This contract-to-hire role offers the opportunity to work overnight shifts supporting inpatient pharmacy services and collaborating with nearby hospital locations as needed.

Location: Albuquerque, NM

Schedule/Hours:

• Overnight shift starting at 4:30 PM
• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Rotating weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage medication dispensing and ensure the accuracy of inpatient prescriptions during the overnight shift
• Provide clinical support to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding drug therapies
• Assist with pharmacy operations at nearby Womens and Westside Hospitals as required
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and state pharmacy regulations
• Monitor medication usage and inventory on inpatient units

Qualifications:

• Active New Mexico pharmacy license
• Minimum of 1 year inpatient pharmacy experience in a hospital setting
• Strong understanding of inpatient medication management and hospital formulary
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently during overnight hours

This role requires flexibility, clinical expertise, and the ability to respond effectively in a fast-paced environment caring for approximately 315 beds. The position starts on November 9th for a 13-week duration, with the potential for contract-to-hire placement.
